A coworker just bought this. It’s not a perfect specimen, but gosh, is it beautiful. And the “U.S. Navy” stamp just kind of makes me feel all squishy inside. The want is powerful.

That is a purdy piece. This is what I picture when thinking of beautiful wheel guns though...

I don’t know why it wouldn’t be, unless it had a flash suppressor or something. Are you in Ca?

I own a couple of S&Ws. Too many car parts I wanna buy to ever think about buying guns. This one, you could hang on the wall.

That photo is cropped so tightly that I have no sense of scale. Is that 1" drive, or what? Are you seriously enamored with that impact wrench or are you trolling me?

I love me an old-fashioned revolver. Which is why I have 2, but neither are as nice as this.

No trolling at all, that’s a damn pretty gun you shared. I’m a part-time racing mechanic and am seriously enamored with Paoli’s stuff. It is 1" drive, for centerlocks.

Ditto. I have a Walther PPQ M2 9mm that I use for target practice and daily carry, and I have a .22 LR that’s sitting in a closet broken. Guns are expensive, and so are car parts. I only get to pick one.

Putting US Navy on it might make some people think it’s a military gun. It’s a joke. I’m originally from Ca. I’m in AZ where we don’t really have what you would call gun laws.

Beautiful old gun.
I’ve got a used, police trade in S&W Model 10-8, 4" barrel. Put some Hogue grips on it and it handles very, very nice. Super smooth trigger on it.

Friendly trolling, of course. So I called it: 1" drive. I am sticking a star on my forehead. Yeah, that gun is beautiful.

The Navy stamp just makes is really special. I might look for one some day, and I wouldn’t care how pretty it was, so long as the mechanicals and the barrel were still good and it had that same Navy stamp. Arizona? We probably have enough gun laws here that we can spare a few for you.

Me too. Something about the history; what these guns have seen.
A little while ago the LAPD sold off some Ithaca model 37s which made me feel the same way:

I’ll have to look that one up. I have a 4-inch Model 66 and a five-shot nickel plated Chief’s Special. If I could carry, though, I’d use probably a compact .45 ACP.

Single stack, light load, maybe 5+1 or 6+1. As long as the other guy doesn’t have a rifle, if you’re not close enough to use the gun, then maybe you should be running anyhow.

Definitely not, in this case. Let’s pick a state that neither of us like and share some of California’s excess gun laws with them. Florida, perhaps?

Indeed. I’m a big guy- 6'7" with appropriately sized hands. The PPQ feels just right in my hand.
